Photographer’s Tip #1: Hair & Make-up

A really talented hair and make-up artist will help a lot in bringing out your best look on your special day so it is recommended to have a trial session with your chosen artist before the wedding so you know you’re in good hands. Hair and make-up must be done 5-6 hours before the ceremony time. It would be better if you have a specially assigned hair and make-up artist who can focus on the bride. Make sure to inform the artist of the schedule especially the starting time of the ceremony so he/she can be at the preparation area as early as possible. Late preparations are a common cause of delay so avoid it!

Hair and make-up for the couple and entourage should be finished within 2-3 hours before the ceremony to allow your photo and/or video supplier/s to have enough time to capture your gorgeous faces.

QABIL / AYLA [sde video]

For two people truly in love, there are no confines. As they always say, love knows no boundaries. It doesn’t dwell on your achievements or failures, status in life, race, religion, strengths or weaknesses. This holds true for Qabil and Ayla. Qabil Ambak, a world-class equestrian, well known in Malaysia, has brought honor to his country countless of times. His love for his craft started as a kid but when he met Ayla, he knew that this is the kind of love that he will treasure the most in his lifetime.

The beautiful Ayla Goh, originally from Singapore, became an instant inspiration to the renowned Malaysian athlete. As a whirlwind romance would go, last 2012, Ayla decided to convert and commit herself to the Islam religion and this year, they finally tied the knot.

Enjoy their SDE video. More than just tradition, this is a celebration of true love.

(500) Days of Summer Park

Had the chance to shoot at Angels Knoll Park in Los Angeles, California, USA. This is the park in the scene of the movie” (500) Days of Summer” in which Tom and Summer pretended to have Tourette’s syndrome. The park didn’t disappoint as it looked exactly the same as it was in the movie. And yes, that’s the bench they used too.

A wedding on the sand is the perfect way to bring about the beauty of summer and make the most out of it. In fact it was such a gorgeous day to celebrate the love of Bernard and Kath. The overflowing happiness of everyone plus the sand, the sun (even the amazing sunset!) and the sea mixed well together. Congratulations, Bernard and Kath!
